Umber 28 Paint

Umber is a brown naturally occurring earth pigment. Darker than other earth pigments it is composed of iron and manganese oxides. Its name originates from the Italian ‘terra d’ombra’ literally meaning earth of Umbria, the region from where it was originally extracted.

Umber is designed to reflect these natural earth tones, it is a mid to dark brown shade, with an underlying yellow hue.

Great for creating a rustic feel to environments when used as an accent shade. For a stunning, modern scheme pair with Linseed. To contrast we recommend the dark yellow green shade Passiflora.
