A timeless classic shade fashionable since the late nineteenth century, Taupe is derived from the French noun for Mole. True Taupe is difficult to pinpoint as either brown or grey. Our Taupe is no exception, a clever blend of ochres to make brown with the addition of black to give grey, it fits perfectly between the two.

A mid-tone grey-brown with deep earthy tones, perfect for creating a relaxing atmosphere. As with most colours that sit perfectly in the middle, it can magically appear as different tones under different lighting conditions.

For a strong but fabulously neutral finish pair with the slightly paler Kibble, or contrast with paler beige hues, we recommend Hessian.
